Well the Across the Years six-day event I mentioned the other day is finally over. In the end Joe Fejes was able to outlast Yiannis Kuoros by a mere four miles. Four miles may seem like some distance, but over the course of six days, the only thing that separated these two titans was four miles. Crazy.
There was also an intense battle for third place between Ed Ettinghausen and William Sichel. Ed managed to pass William in the last 48-24 hours and held him off to finish third by four miles. Again a crazy close finish to race that lasted over six days.
Fejes also managed to snatch the six-day American record. If this race did not get you excited about ultra running, I am not sure what will. Fejes snatched a record and beat a legend, all in his first attempt at a six day race. Pay attention for Fejes’ Six Days in the Dome event coming to Anchorage in August. Oh to be there.
